This is the first video in a series with Stephanie Levenston Intuitive Channel discussing the traits that empaths share. In this series, I’m referencing Dr. Judith Orloff’s book The Empath’s Survival Guide as a guide for discussing the characteristics that empaths possess.

What is an empath?

Those of us with highly sensitive abilities to tune in to the feelings and experiences and deep understanding of others. Empaths can know the intentions and motivations of others and discern the truth from untruth. Being an empath is not something you can learn to become. You either are an empath or you are not.

Many empaths have been told over the course of their lives that they are “too sensitive” or “too emotional”. Being an empath can feel burdensome, but the truth is that it is actually a superpower. This series of videos is designed to support you in your empath abilities by discussing how you can take full responsibility for your emotional state without being over influenced by the moods and emotions of others.

Empaths can be very sensitive to their surroundings and have strong sensory responses to sights, smells, sounds, touch. Empaths are exposed to all types of different energies on a deep level and can be affected by the other’s energy. If you’ve ever felt that is a challenge to find others with whom you resonate and difficult to find your tribe, this may be because true empaths only make up approximately 20% of the population. Fear not, you’re sure to gain some support and understanding and connection through this video series.
